North America Nebula

  • Luminous nebula in the constellation Cygnus, the North America Nebula is an extremely popular region to photograph, not only due to its wonderful aesthetic but also because of how brightly it glows in popular narrow bands of light.

Second completed image with the new monochrome camera and Baader narrowband filters. For this image, in particular, I only captured Ha and Oiii and combined them in a modified HOO palette. Due to the time of year (Cygnus is getting lower on the horizon each night) and lack of clear skies, I could only get a total of 3 hours of data.
