Ben Coull-Neveu
My resume/CV can be found HERE.
I am Canadian student with a strong passion for science, photography, and the outdoors. As an undergraduate physics & CS student, you will typically find me sitting in front of a computer debugging poorly-written code or contemplating physics problems for far longer than any sane person should.
My research experience thus far has been in the exoplanetary sciences, with a particular focus on the upcoming exoplanetary survey telescope mission, Ariel.
More recently, I am exploring my options in medical physics, where I am currently working on auto-segmentation of lung SBRTs using a deep-learning model called nnU-Net.
However, this shift in my academic interests hasn’t deviated me from one of my greater passions, (astro-)photograhy. My obsession with astrophotography has lead to many poor financial decisions (usually telescopes), but amazing photograph!
I also have a background in music and a passion for outdoor activities. When not crying over physics assignments or bent over my computer editing photos, I’m likely torturing a cello or piano, or perhaps surfing, biking, sailing, swimming, or just generally enjoying nature though often with a camera in hand.
