North America Nebula

  • The North America Nebula, also known as NGC 7000, is a relatively bright emission nebula in the constellation Cygnus. This popular target features beautiful details and contains several well-known targets within, such as the Cygnus wall ( and the Pelican nebula (IC 5070).

Though the image was taken with a color camera, by creating a synthetic HOO palette I managed to pull out some blues in the brighter regions, where the nebula shines bright in Oiii.
