Girl in Space (Eagle & Omega nebulae)
-
The Eagle and the Omega nebulae (M16 and M17 respectively) are located near the constellations Sagittarius.
This is one of my favourite regions of space simply because it truly looks like a girl’s profile, often referred to as the Star Queen (yet another case of pareidolia).
This project took far too long for only 6h15min of total integration. This past month has not presented many opportunities for imaging, with either clouds or smoke ruining many (most) shots.
