Bubble Nebula

Description

Located in the constellation Cassiopeia, the Bubble nebula is an HII region emission nebula at more than 7000 light-years away from Earth.

I had fun processing this one. Utilized Russel Croman’s new blurXterminator tool (perhaps a bit too much – I got excited) and loved the results it yielded. Deconvolution has always been a tool that I have wanted to use more but always got too frustrated trying to get the parameters right, but luckily blurXterminator makes the process a breeze. Although I have noticed some mild artifacts, all-in-all it has been incredibly useful.

I have processed this image to a more-so typical SHO palette but went a bit more toward some intense orange. I feel that the bubble itself is perhaps a bit too over-sharpened, but not enough that it makes me feel that I must go over it again (at least not yet).
